We would like to invite you to participate in the 2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SMART AND SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING 2026 which will be held from 1 – 4 September 2026 in Gauteng, South Africa.
The International Conference on Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing (ICSSM 2026) will be held under the theme “AI-Driven Manufacturing in the Era of Industry 5.0 “. The conference aims to bring together academics, researchers, and industry professionals to present and discuss the latest innovations in smart manufacturing technologies. It will highlight the pivotal role of artificial intelligence and human-centric automation in advancing sustainability and resilience within the global manufacturing sector. The conference offers a platform to explore how engineering advancements can be leveraged to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable practices in global manufacturing. Networking opportunities, collaboration, and joint participation among delegates are encouraged during the conference.
Presenters are invited to submit either full papers or extended abstracts for presentation. All accepted papers will undergo a double peer-review process as per the review policy (see “Information for authors, ethics and review policy” button on the Call for Abstracts and Papers page). This means that all papers accepted for presentation at the Conference will be published by AIP Publishing which is indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (Thomson Reuters) etc. Selected papers presented at the conference may be published in a journal indexed in major scientific databases and widely disseminated within the global research community.
Registered delegates who are members of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) will be eligible to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points by attending the conference. See details on the “Information” page.
